December TBR

December TBR

Happy Monday Bookish Babes!

Today is my very first book post and the start of my TBR (To Be Read) series. Most of the books I read come from my local library in ebook or audiobook form. My TBR lists will mainly consist of the books I currently have on hold at the library (about 9 each post). I will always include a link to the book on Goodreads and a little bit about why I want to read it.

I hope you enjoy this series! Let me know if you’ve read any of these and what’s on your TBR list!

The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave #2) by Rick Yancy

Last month I read The 5th Wave in preparation for the movie coming out in January. I really enjoyed it and wanted to continue the series!

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

I never read this in high school and I’ve been interested in reading more iconic/classic books.

November 9 by Colleen Hoover

I don’t remember where I saw this book suggested, but it has very high ratings on Goodreads so I thought I would check it out!

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

Another iconic/classic book I’ve been interested in. I tried reading this back in high school but ended up not getting very far into it.

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

This is being adapted into a movie in 2016! I always try to read books before they come out as movies.

Paper Towns by John Green

I read The Fault in Our Stars earlier this year and LOVED it! It was the first John Green book I’ve read and I’m interested in more of his work. I originally wanted to read this before the movie came out, but it’s a long waiting list and I was in the middle of other books when it became available to me. I’m holding out on seeing the movie until I read the book first.

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

This book won Best Historical Fiction of 2014 on Goodreads! I went through past years winners and added quite a few to my ‘to read’ shelf.

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Another Best Historical Fiction winner on Goodreads, this time for 2015!

Between the World and Me by  Ta-Nehisi Coates

In case you didn’t know John Green has a Youtube channel with his brother Hank and it is WONDERFUL! He recently put out a Holiday Book Giving Guide and this book was his first recommendation.

Keep an eye out for a post on what I actually read in December at the end of the month!
