December Books – The Month of Continued Series

December Books Collage

Happy New Year Bookish Babes! The beginning of the month means it’s time to review the books I read in December! This past month turned out to be full of series continuations, as you’ll see.

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

This series gets better with each book! I have really been enjoying the futuristic twist on classic fairy tales and how all of the stories have been tying together. I’m on the waiting list at the library for Winter and I can’t wait to read it!

Gathering Blue (The Giver #2) by Lois Lowry

I have a full review (without spoilers!) on this book.

The Infinite Sea (The 5th Wave #2) by Rick Yancey

After loving The 5th Wave so much I was looking forward to continuing the series! Although I didn’t love this book quite as much as the first one I still really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading the next one when it comes out in May!

Messenger (The Giver #3) by Lois Lowry

I am really diggin’ this series you guys. Each book has its own sinister twist in it that leaves you on the edge of your seat until the end. The first two books in The Giver series do not appear directly related, however Messenger ties them both together. I expect the last book will do the same.

What did you finish out 2015 reading?

  1. omg that Lunar Chronicles is really hunting me! XD I really have to get on board with this series! I finished Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Ruby Red Trilogy before 2015 ends XD

    1. I’ve been loving The Lunar Chronicles! I recommend checking it out. I read Percy Jackson earlier last year and didn’t completely love it. I think it’s because I didn’t read them as a kid so there was no nostalgia factor.

I haven’t read the Ruby Red Trilogy yet, do you like it?

      1. im thinking if im getting paperback or the hardcovers T_T will I miss something if I get paperback?

Ah yeah Percy, though it has a 2nd series and they say it’s a lot good than the first one (still on my TBR XD ) Ruby Red Trilogy, it was an okay read for me, I just love their adventures on time travelling ❤

      2. The only series I have in hardcover or am trying to collect the hardcover versions are Harry Potter, Pendragon by D.J. MacHale, and Eragon by Christopher Paolini. I re-red these series the most.
