January TBR

January TBR

If you read through my introductory post you’ll know that I post every Monday and Friday (with the exception of holidays) and will occasionally have bonus posts on Wednesdays. Welcome to the very first bonus post!

Let’s go over some of the books I hope to read in January. My average reading in a month is 3-4 books, but I like to have a larger TBR list to choose from. This list also changes during the month so I might end up reading something completely different. Check back at the beginning of February to see what I actually ended up reading!

Little Princes: One Man’s Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal by Conor Grennan

I don’t quite remember how this ended up on my every growing (currently 533 books and counting) TBR list but I’m really glad it did. I’m currently listening to this on audio book during my workday and am enjoying it so far.

The World According to Garp by John Irving

A very nice friend of mine let me borrow this book (a true sign of trust in my world), thanks Chris! I’m currently about 1/10 through it and still developing my feelings on it. The writing is great, but I haven’t been 100% sucked into the story yet.

Paper Towns by John Green

Ya’ll I have been trying to read this book since before the movie came out. I’m totally holding out on seeing the movie until I read it, but every time I end up getting it from the library I’m in the middle of other books. Hopefully January will be the month to read it!

The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

This was on my December TBR list, but I’m still on the waiting list for the library audio book.

The Collected Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe by Edgar Allan Poe

I get most of my books from my local library in e-book or audio book form. However, I’m going to make it a goal of mine to read more books that I own in 2016. I miss the feeling of turning pages in my hand and would love to go through some that I have been collecting. I bought this book at a locally owned book store in my old college town for $6! I can’t pass up a good book deal.

Winter by Marissa Meyer

I am so ready to finish this series! I finished Cress last month, and Winter was released in November! Talk about good series timing. I added my name to the waiting list for the library e-book as soon as I was able to, but I’m still in line. Thankfully my library recently added more copies so I should be getting it soon!

What do you plan on reading this month Bookish Babes? I’m always looking to expand my super long TBR list!

Allons-y!
