April Books

Hey bookish babes! This post is going up a bit late this month, but let’s chat about the books I read in April!

11/22/63 by Stephen King

I wanted to read this book before the TV show came out on Hulu and I ended up finished it right as the show wrapped up.This was a long one but I really loved this book! Such an interesting take on time travel. The show was enjoyable, however the book far out shined it.

The Seven Good Years by Etgar Keret

This was such an interesting and humorous memoir, it really caught me by surprise. This book takes place between the birth of Edgar’s son and the death of his father, what he considers the seven good years. I recommend if you are looking for a short and wonderful read.

The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, and Maureen Johnson

Magnus Bane is everyone’s favorite, right? So I had to pick this one up to read about all the shenanigans he’s gotten up to! This book was definitely entertaining and I really loved learning some of his backstory along with other characters in the Shadowhunter universe. Although I really enjoyed the stories I found that the writing quality was a bit lacking. I could also tell the difference between writing styles of the various authors. If you’re a big fan of the Shadowhunters world I think you would really like this!

What did everyone read in April and what are you reading now? I would love to hear from you!
