Most Anticipated Reads

Happy Saturday Bookish Babes! Today I wanted to share some books on my to read list that I am super excited to read (eventually)!

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

After reading Fangirl (full review here) I was definitely in a Simon Snow funk. When I found out there was a whole book dedicated to Simon Snows’ world I was ecstatic! I’ve heard good things about this one so I have high hopes.

milk and honey by Rupi Kaur

This collection of poems was not even on my radar until my girl Jessi – @jessislibrary on Instagram – posted this quote:

“i want to apologize to all the women i have called pretty. before i’ve called them intelligent or brave. i am sorry i made it sound as though something as simple as what you’re born with is the most you have to be proud of when your spirit has crushed mountains from now on i will say things like, you are resilient or, you are extraordinary. not because i don’t think you’re pretty but because you’re so much more than that” – rupi kaur

These words spoke to me and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Luckily Jessi is just the absolute BEST (seriously go follow her, her Instagram is beautiful) she sent me this for my birthday!

A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness

The movie adaptation of this book is coming to theaters in October and I am determined to read the book before then. I don’t know too many details about this story, but it is a short read at 216 pages.

Now on to a few series I am dying to start….like I’m not already in the middle of a billion other series….but let’s ignore that fact.

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead

This series is a spin off of the Vampire Academy books, however Bloodlines gets higher ratings on Goodreads which piqued my interest. I haven’t read any books in the Vampire Academy world, but I did see the movie. I know…bad book worm, but the movie made me intrigued enough to find out more about this story.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson

This series is very highly reviewed and is said to be a fantastically written fantasy world. The first book is over a thousand pages so I think I want to purchase this one before reading so I don’t have to worry about library due dates.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

Another highly rated fantasy series that I have heard so many good things about! This book length is much more manageable at over 600 pages.

What are your most anticipated reads? I would love to know!
