Happy Tuesday Bookish Babes! Empties posts/videos seem to be a popular thing around the beauty community and after saving up some of my own I thought I would jump on the bandwagon. I personally really like empties posts because I feel like you get a true review of the products since they were completely used up, plenty of time to decide if you liked it or not!
e.l.f. Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths: I’ve gone through quite a few of these makeup wipe packs and I would definitely repurchase. For only $3 these are some of the cheapest ones I have found and they work pretty well.
Eclos Cleansing Oil: This was my holy grail cleansing oil and now I can’t find it ANYWHERE. I’m pretty sure it’s been discontinued and I’m bummed about it….if you have a cleansing oil recommendation please let me know, I’m in desperate need of a new one.
CETAPHIL Daily Face Cleanser: I didn’t like this cleanser at first due to a semi-strong smell. Once I got past the scent this was a really great basic cleanser. You also get a TON of product for pretty cheap, so this is a great cost effective cleanser.
ALPHA SKINCARE Rejuvenating Serum: I LOVE this stuff! With 14% glycolic acid it’s one of the highest concentrations recommended for daily use. I really feel like this has helped with acne, helping clear up active breakouts sooner and fade scars faster. I haven’t seen much difference when it comes to wrinkles, but I’m pretty happy with the other results I’ve seen. This does take a few months to see full results.
KORRES Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial: I received this sample in a Sephora Play Box and it ended up lasting me a couple of weeks. This product has a prominent rose scent to it that was really pleasant, felt very luxurious. I will say that I didn’t see any significant results from this sample, it just seemed like a good basic moisturizer.
tarte Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30: This was also a sample from a Sephora Play Box. I used this up within a few weeks and did enjoy it. The SPF 30 is fantastic and it did not feel greasy on my skin, also worked really well under makeup. Although I did like this the expensive price tag is just a bit much for a sunscreen.
Bath & Body
Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash: This has been my go to body wash for a few years now. It’s very creamy and moisturizing, just as advertised. I’ve been trying out a few other body washes the past few months, but I would definitely repurchase this.
Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath & Epsom Salt, Soothe & Sleep with Lavender: No bath is complete without some relaxing epsom salt and bubbles! My go to is Dr. Teal’s in lavender, I find this to be the best inexpensive mix and I LOVE the scent.
Dollar Shave Club 4x Razor Blades: Razor blades are SUPER expensive, so when I found Dollar Shave Club I was ecstatic! I get a 4 pack each month (for only $6!) so I can change my blade each week, I highly recommend!
MAYBELLINE Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder: I’ve been using this powder for over a year now and it’s a great one for my oily gal pals. I purchase the color translucent, however it does have a bit of color to it.
L’ORÉAL Colour Riche Lip Balm: This balm in Rose Elixir is the perfect no fuss lip product for everyday. It gives you just enough color to look pulled together and does a really good job at moisturizing. I’ve already purchased a second tube and made a dent in it.
e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set: I really love this setting spray, and it’s a great bargain at $3! It’s a decently fine mist, however I have seen better. This helps take my powdered face down a notch, looking more natural and skin like.
Tresemme 24 HOUR BODY FOAMING MOUSSE: This has been my go to volumizing mousse for several years, however I do think I can find some better ones. Leave me any suggestions if you have them.
Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Mask: Another Sephora Play sample all used up! I try to put all my samples to good use. This was a really nice deep conditioner, it didn’t work miracles but it did make my hair feel softer.
KLEENEX® HAND TOWELS: I go through a box of these about every month and a half, using them nightly when I wash my face. I find that these are much cleaner than using a hand towel over and over again.
Colgate Optic White Icy Fresh Cool Fresh Mint Anticavity Fluoride Toothpaste: I’ve been using this toothpaste for several months, if not a year, and I really like how clean it makes my teeth feel. I’ve repurchased this several times and will continue to do so.
That completes my empties for the last few months! Let me know if you like these kind of posts and want to see more.
