Hey there Bookish Babes, today I have another installment of my Featured Book Blogger series for you! Every other month I love to share a fellow book blogger that I have been loving so you guys can also enjoy their awesomeness. The pick for this month is Kourtni Reads!
Kourtni is a 21 year old student studying psychology at Boston University. While being a busy college student Kourtni loves to read YA books and post reviews. Her blog was founded at the beginning of 2016, having gained almost 600 wordpress followers while putting out great content over the past year she is definitely one to check out!
One of my favorite series on this blog is Top Ten Tuesday. Kourtni’s latest TTT post Top Ten Horror Books I Want To Read definitely gave me some inspiration for creepy books I want to read. The Coldest Girl in Cold Town is one that has jumped on and off my TBR list quite a few times but this post has me wanting to put it back on! The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall is another one I’ve contemplated adding, I might just have to.
I really enjoy Kourni’s reviews, especially on ARCs. She is one of the first people I have seen post a review about Marisaa Meyer’s (author of the Lunar Chronicles) new YA novel Heartless, which I am SO excited to read when it comes out. Kourtni received her copy from NetGalley and clearly I need to get on that site if you can get such highly anticipated books like this! I very much appreciated that this review was spoiler free, yet comprehensive. I was able to learn a little bit more about the story without feeling like I was getting too much information that would spoil the reading experience.
Another series that I’ve been drawn to on this blog is WWW Wednesday. In these posts Kourtni goes over the three w’s of the week: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? I think this is a great way to go into your reading list outside of a monthly wrap up or TBR. This is also a good way to link up with other bloggers who are doing the same series and be interactive in the book blogging community.
I highly recommend checking out Kourtni’s blog if you haven’t already, it’s a fantastic place for book lovers, especially those who read mainly YA!
