November TBR

november-tbr

Hey there Bookish Babes! I know it’s a little late in the month but I still wanted to discuss what I plan on reading in November. I’m determined to reach my 2016 reading goals even though I’m a bit behind. I’ll be reading like crazy this month!

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by J.K. RowlingWith the movie coming out this month I really wanted to read the book first. I’m excited to read about more of the creatures in the Harry Potter universe!

The Complete Persepolis by Marjane SatrapiThis is the June (my birthday month!) pick for Emma Watson’s book club. One of my goals this year is to read all of the picks for this club, just not necessarily in the chosen month. This is a graphic novel that sounds really interesting so I’m excited to get into it.

Uprooted by Naomi NovikI feel like I have heard nothing but good things about this book! This is an Addicted to YA book club pick and I just really need a good fantasy read this month.

Before by Carmen BoullosaThis book was given to me by Deep Vellum Books (a local bookstore in Dallas), they’re actually also an independent publishing company – Deep Vellum Publishing. Described as a part ghost story, coming of age, revenge novel that’s translated from the original Spanish. I’m really intrigued by this, keep an eye out for a full review post this month!

Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide by Nicholas D. Kristof & Sheryl WuDunnAnother Emma Watson book club pick! This was the Sept/Oct pick and I’m actually really excited to read this one, it sounds super interesting.

The Siren by Kiera CassSo I have a lot of book club picks to read this month. This is another one from the Addicted to YA book club from back in July. I’ve heard good things about this author and her Selection series so I’m curious about this, her very first novel.

What are you reading this November? I would love to know!

  1. I’ll be interested to see what you think of Persepolis! I read it a while ago and the first half was really good and the whole graphic novel was super important. The second half dragged though and it took me FOREVER to get through it haha. Good luck with your TBR 😀
